Violent Incident Over Property Rights in Neuquén

A family from Neuquén was involved in a violent episode when a man arrived at their home and claimed to be the new owner of the property they had been renting for 25 years. After a heated discussion about the rental agreement, the man threatened to evict the family, even going so far as to set fire to the couple's car.

Teresa, one of the affected individuals, recounted that the man displayed aggressive and threatening behaviors, warning that he would burn the family's vehicles if they did not vacate the property. The situation became even more complicated when, far from being an empty threat, the individual set fire to the car in question while he was at the scene on his motorcycle.

Fortunately, neighbors intervened to extinguish the fire and alerted the firefighters, preventing further damage. The family claims they have not received official confirmation of the alleged sale of the property, as they continue with a valid rental contract inherited from a previous owner.

This would not be the first incident related to the property, as the previous owner, now deceased, had left his daughter in charge of managing the rental without informing the couple about a possible sale. Due to the tense situation they have experienced, the family is fearful of potential future acts of violence and is uncertain about their immediate future.

Police authorities and firefighters are already involved in the case, with the corresponding complaint filed. The Justice system is also investigating the incident to prevent the recurrence of violent acts, urging calm while the facts are clarified and ensuring the safety of the affected family.
