Six police officers were victims of different crimes, but which occurred almost simultaneously at around 5:00 AM on Sunday in the district of Morón. One of the officers was shot in the arm during an attempted robbery, while the other was mugged by three armed criminals who only managed to steal his backpack. At that moment, two criminals who were hiding joined the scene, joining the apparently injured man. The three circled the officer to rob him, and during the struggle, one of the aggressors shot, injuring the officer in the right arm. Upon arriving at the intersection of Avenida Márquez and Ruta 201, he saw a person apparently lying on the street and stopped to assist him, leaving his service weapon inside the car. The sergeant made his way to a nearby police station and then to the Churruca Hospital, where he was treated and is out of danger. The second incident was recorded at Callao 2498, Morón, when a Corporal of the Morón DUOF was traveling on his personal motorcycle and was intercepted by three criminals who snatched a backpack from him. The officer gave the "halt" command, but one of the suspects pointed a firearm at him, which led the corporal to fire deterrent shots. During the maneuver, the officer fell to the ground and suffered a blow to the knee and scrapes on both hands, but without serious injuries. As in the previous case, his service weapon and institutional items were not stolen. Both officers were in civilian clothes and were heading to their regular service, according to information published in Oeste Noticias and sources consulted by the Argentine News Agency. The first episode took place when a First Sergeant of the Federal Police was driving his personal vehicle. After the attack, the officer went to the 4th Police Station of Morón to file a complaint. Both episodes continue to be investigated by the UFI No. 8 of Morón. The thieves escaped without managing to steal any institutional items.
