Young Couple Rescues Titi Monkey from Illegal Traders

In the Buenos Aires district of Merlo, a young couple carried out a brave act by rescuing a titi monkey that was in the hands of illegal traders. Milagros, 25 years old, and her partner David, 30, managed to take the animal and transported it to a shelter specialized in rescued exotic species.

The rescue was carried out with the support of the Buenos Aires Wildlife and Flora Department and protection groups. After completing the action, Milagros consulted with the Wildlife Department about the next steps to take.

The young couple contacted the alleged sellers of the monkey, who demanded a sum of 600,000 pesos for the animal. Not receiving a clear response from the authorities on how to act, Milagros decided to intervene on her own.

Finally, they managed to rescue the monkey with the help of a driver from the DiDi app, who joined the operation after being informed about the situation. The couple moved to a remote area of Merlo, where the animal was handed over by the sellers.

In the specialized shelter where they left the monkey, called "Campo Bianco" and located in the district of Luján, they were shown the facilities and informed about the other animals they care for there, mainly primates and tropical birds. Milagros expressed her happiness knowing that the monkey was now in good hands.
