Milei Maintains Strong Support Amid Political Shifts

A survey conducted by Siri & Ortega Asociados in Gran Mendoza revealed that President Javier Milei maintains solid support, while Governor Alfredo Cornejo has experienced a marked decline in his image.

In the breakdown by gender, 58.3% of men and 57% of women approve of his government. By age group, the strongest support comes from the 31-45 years range (33.5%), followed by young people aged 16-30 (27.2%) and adults aged 46-65 (26%).

In terms of age, the rejection is distributed among young people and adults (30.5% in the 16-30 and 31-45 age groups), while the least unfavorable image is found among those over 66 years old (17%).

The survey reflects a disconnection between parties and candidates, with a high percentage of undecided voters and an increase in rejection of the political offer. When respondents were asked about their party preference, the option 'none' reached 35%, followed by La Libertad Avanza (32%), La Unión Mendocina (13.3%), the Justicialist Party (9.3%), the UCR (9%), and the Green Party (1.4%).

In terms of political figures, after 'None', the mayor of the City of Mendoza, Ulpiano Suárez, leads the preferences with 26% of voting intention, followed by Mario Vadillo (14%), Flor Destéfanis (13.3%), Gabriel Pradines (7.7%), and Facundo Correa Llano (5.3%).

The report highlights that Milei maintains strong support, while Cornejo faces a crisis in his image. The sector with the least support is those over 66 years old (13.3%).

In contrast, Alfredo Cornejo faces a drop in his image, with a 65% negative valuation and only 35% approval. The negative trend has deepened in recent months. By gender, disapproval is higher among women (69.1%) than among men (60.9%).

65.7% of respondents rated Milei's management positively, while 34.3% considered it negative. Although support has fluctuated in recent months, it maintains a favorable trend.

Additionally, it points out that the opposition will need to territorialize its vote and redefine strategies in light of increasing electoral uncertainty and a fragmented political landscape.
