Violence During Carnival Celebrations in Haedo

Neighbors and representatives of the Haedo Chamber of Commerce expressed their rejection of the acts of violence that occurred during the Carnival celebrations in the Buenos Aires locality. They expressed their solidarity with the merchants who were affected by the vandalistic acts perpetrated by a group of people unrelated to the shared values in the community.

The festive day was marred by disturbances, thefts, and fights in a parade in Haedo, leaving several injured. The incidents began with a fight between two groups of young people near a kiosk, resulting in damage and stolen merchandise. The owner of the establishment and the son of another merchant were injured while trying to protect their businesses.

Despite the intervention of the police, municipal security, and traffic agents deployed on-site, the violence could not be contained due to the magnitude of the disturbances. Authorities initiated an investigation after the dissemination on social media of videos evidencing the altercations.

In a statement, the Haedo Chamber of Commerce lamented that the celebration was marred by the presence of violent individuals who sowed fear among merchants and residents. The festive activity authorized by the MorĂ³n Municipality ended in confrontations and vandalism, generating concern and discomfort in the community.
