The Customs denied any irregularities in the control of a plane from the United States but announced that it has started an internal investigation following the journalistic complaint from Carlos Pagni in La Nación+. The agency assured that routine checks were carried out on the aircraft, crew, and passengers, in accordance with current regulations, without finding anomalies. The plane remained in transit in a hangar until March 5, when it took off for Paris, where normal procedures were also carried out without setbacks.

Customs reported that due to journalistic versions mentioning failures in customs control, an internal inquiry has been opened to investigate what happened. According to the agency, if irregularities are confirmed, the responsible personnel will be removed from their duties. For his part, journalist Carlos Pagni revealed on his program an alleged concern within Customs about a possible irregular entry of luggage at Ezeiza Airport.

Pagni pointed out that a superior order would have prevented the inspection of multiple bags from a passenger who arrived on a private flight from Miami. According to his statements, the woman in question would be Laura Belén Arrieta, allegedly linked to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), an event attended by figures such as Donald Trump and members of Javier Milei's government. The journalist stated that the Airport Security Police (PSA) and Customs attempted to inspect the luggage, but were ordered not to do so.

So far, there has been no official statement regarding the supposed entry of unchecked luggage or about the identity of the passenger.
