Kicillof Promotes MDF

The governor of Buenos Aires Province, Axel Kicillof, has launched an expansive campaign to grow the Movement Right to the Future (MDF) amid a period when national Peronism faces deep internal fractures. The official launch took place in Ensenada, where about 1,500 supporters gathered, although the candidacy does not yet seek an immediate national presence. Kicillof stresses that his efforts aim to unify Peronists and attract new supporters into the national political arena. "We will build a future that opens new opportunities for everyone," he said. Meanwhile, he blames Milei for cuts that, in his view, limit security and health opportunities. Kicillof claims that the provincial health system is plagued by fraud and ineffective resource use. He calls for a broader, federal reform to escape the crisis and overcome the division within the party. Internal disputes between his supporters and the Cristina Fernández faction remain tense, yet Kicillof continues to push his platform and positions himself as an alternative to Milei in the 2027 elections.
