Buenos Aires, December 22 (NA) – The governor of Buenos Aires Province, Axel Kicillof, led a meeting on Monday in Ensenada with leaders from the sector he heads, the Movement for the Right to the Future (MDF), where he called to "strengthen the construction of a political alternative to this far-right" amid divisions in Peronism and with an eye on the 2027 elections.
"The problem is national, and the response also has to be national," said the governor. "We have the flags and convictions of always, but we know very well that we need to update them. We need to build proposals that are up to the challenges of the present and the historical moment."
Kicillof stressed that "it is necessary to provide a perspective for the future" and give the people "the certainty and conviction that there is another path and that we are going to build it side by side with all sectors."
Finally, Kicillof emphasized:
"We said that we would always be a shield and a net to protect all those attacked by the policies of Milei. It is not enough to resist or oppose. We are not here to launch a campaign or a candidacy. We are here to strengthen the construction of a political alternative to this far-right."
The governor of Buenos Aires in Ensenada.
"We are not here to repeat history, we are here to create the future. Our political force has an urgent task: to stop talking to itself and start talking to all Argentines," stated Kicillof during the talk, learned by the Argentine News Agency.
And he added:
"Buenos Aires Province is not enough. Peronism is not enough. That is why we are gathered here to advance in the construction of an alternative without sectarianism, without stopping talking to those who think differently and without stopping convincing."
The Kicillofism meeting took place amid the internal conflict in the PJ that was rekindled after the October electoral setback against La Libertad Avanza.

The Buenos Aires PJ set the date for the leadership elections: will Máximo Kirchner remain?
In this context, the existing differences in the party have re-emerged in the face of the process of leadership elections that must be carried out in the Buenos Aires PJ, where both La Cámpora and the governor's sector want to take control.
The party at the provincial level, led by Máximo Kirchner, last week called for elections for March 15, 2026, with the idea, a priori, of agreeing on a list of unity for what is expected to be numerous and complicated negotiations.
