This victory puts the Córdoba-based 'Pirate' firmly in the race for the top spot in Zone B. The only goal of the match was scored by midfielder Franco Vázquez in the 37th minute. Vázquez's goal came after a perfectly executed corner kick by Emiliano Rigoni, allowing him to connect with the ball unmarked in the penalty area due to the loose marking from the Mendoza team. This win for the 'Pirate' was a genuine surprise, as Independiente Rivadavia had been the only team with a perfect record coming into the game. Thanks to these three points, Belgrano reached 11 points and is now just two points behind the leader of Zone B, Tigre. According to the Argentine News Agency, in the next round, Belgrano will visit Defensa y Justicia, while Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza will host Independiente.
