Macri Supports Milei but Criticizes His Violent Style

Former President Mauricio Macri supported President Javier Milei but pointed out differences in their approaches during a lunch at the Córdoba Stock Exchange. Macri stated that while there are many opportunities for improvement in the current government, sometimes Milei is "too violent, direct, and harsh," although he described his relationship with the president as "healthy and sincere."

Regarding the possibility of an electoral understanding between the PRO and La Libertad Avanza (LLA), Macri was cautious and mentioned the need to get to know each other better before making decisions about a possible "fusion." During his visit to Córdoba, he met with various local legislators and emphasized that the PRO came to do politics differently, seeking to ensure that the State serves the people.

Macri also commented on the changes in the Energy sector, calling the current government's request for collaboration "positive." Although his approach differs in certain aspects, he highlighted Milei's authenticity and frankness in applying "sincericidio." The former president expressed his hope that a spirit of collaboration and joint work would be fostered for the future.

In relation to criticisms about possible political interests by the PRO, Macri rejected that notion following the recent modification in the Secretary of Energy, where María Tettamanti, someone close to him, assumed a new role.
