Today, February 25, will be a key day in the case of the murder of Nora Dalmasso, following the formal presentation of the accusation against prosecutors Javier Di Santo, Luis Pizarro, and Daniel Miralles on Wednesday. These were the first prosecutors to work on the investigation and are now accused of malpractice and serious negligence. The Prosecutor General of Córdoba, Juan Manuel Delgado, will present the formal accusation before the Jury for the Trial of Magistrates and Judicial Officials of the Córdoba Judiciary. From that moment on, as confirmed to the Argentine News Agency (NA), a 60-day period begins during which the Tribunal must decide on the dismissal or continuation in office of the accused. 'The family is expectant and awaiting to know what the prosecutor's accusation against the three prosecutors is,' stated Mariángeles Mussolini, lawyer for Facundo Macarrón, the victim's son, in a dialogue with NA. In this context, she explained that the proceedings are particular for each accused because, although it is a process against the three prosecutors, each had their particular intervention at different times in the process. On December 4, 2025, the Jury unanimously admitted the requests for impeachment against Di Santo, Pizarro, and Miralles. At the time of the crime, he worked as a prosecutor in the house. Days after the admission of the Jury, prosecutor Pablo Jávega concluded the investigation and requested the case be elevated to oral trial against the accused Bárzola for the crime of sexual assault followed by the murder of Dalmasso. Jávega explained that the closure of the investigation 'is neither a rebellion nor resistance, but it must be borne in mind that the decision is currently under review, so it is not final.' Now, prosecutor Delgado will make the formal presentation of the accusations to begin the two-month period where the accused will make their own defenses, evidence will be presented, and then a date will be set. Regarding the murder, the only accused is Roberto Bárzola, 45, who was identified as the author of the assassination through DNA evidence. While it is not final, the MPF continues with the obligation to advance the investigation'.
