President Javier Milei attended the Doma and Folklore Festival in Jesús María, Córdoba province, on the eve of his trip to Paraguay for the signing of the free trade agreement between Mercosur and the European Union (EU). The president arrived in the Córdoba capital just before midnight, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei; the Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli; and the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem. Milei traveled by helicopter from the airport to the José Hernández amphitheater, which was packed on the ninth day of the traditional festival. After his brief stay in the province, Milei will travel this Saturday to Asunción, where the agreement between Mercosur and the European bloc will be signed. In Paraguay, Milei will seek to send a signal of support to his Paraguayan counterpart, Santiago Peña, who will assume the pro tempore presidency of Mercosur, while on Sunday the presidential delegation will depart for Switzerland, where they will participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos starting next Monday. Additionally, according to Argentine News Agency, the Head of State confirmed from his social networks that at the end of this month he will attend a new edition of the festival called Derecha Fest, to be held in Mar del Plata on January 27. According to the Argentine News Agency, the president is scheduled to travel to the Atlantic Coast as part of a two trips per month schedule to non-metropolitan areas. The event will be primarily organized by Nicolás Marquez, the president's biographer, and the team of Derecha Diario, directed by Spaniard Javier Negre. The event is presented as "the most anti-left event in the country" that "lands on the coast."
