A man has been arrested in the Colón neighborhood of Córdoba, Argentina, in connection with the femicide of 26-year-old Camila Merlo, whose remains were found on November 16 in the General Urquiza neighborhood inside a bag. According to the Argentine News Agency, the 30-year-old man was apprehended in the Colón area, adjacent to where Merlo's remains were discovered, but his exact role in the woman's murder is not yet known. On the preceding Sunday, November 16, a dog found the victim's bones in an open-air dump, and they were identified as Merlo's due to a tattoo on her right leg. Days later, on November 24, hands, arms, and legs were found in two black community association bags. Known as 'China' by her friends, Merlo was 26 years old, a sex worker, had no fixed address, had a daughter, and was in a situation of vulnerability.
