Buenos Aires, January 9 (NA) -- Five members of a family drug network—three of them with a criminal record—were arrested as part of an operation that dismantled a gang dedicated to drug trafficking in the Córdoba capital. According to the Argentine News Agency and as indicated by the Córdoba Public Prosecutor's Office, the operation was led by the Anti-Drug Police Force and took place in the Villa Alberdi neighborhood following an investigation that lasted several months. The seven simultaneous raids were carried out on homes located a few blocks apart: four operated as drug sales points and three as safe houses. The detainees—three men aged 60, 42, and 30, and two women aged 36 and 18—had family and neighborly ties among themselves and were placed at the disposal of the Feria Drug Trafficking Prosecutor's Office, which ordered their transfer to a judicial facility.
