Buenos Aires, December 6 (NA) -- Five people, including a minor, were arrested and narcotics were seized following a series of raids carried out in the city of Cordoba, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF).
The deployment of the Anti-Drug Police Force took place in two houses located at Arteaga S/N and Paredes S/N in the Villa La Tela neighborhood, where 1,268 doses of marijuana and 528 of cocaine, $4,563,250 in pesos, a digital scale, and "elements related to the packaging of illicit substances" were confiscated.
Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that a 63-year-old family father, his son (31), daughter (33), son-in-law (30), and grandson (14) were arrested.
It was reported that at the time of the arrests, "they attempted to flee by throwing drugs in different places, an act that was stopped thanks to the quick action of the Tactical Actions Team of the Force".
Authorities of the Prosecutor's Office of the Second Shift's Anti-Drug Division ordered the transfer of the detainees and the seized evidence to a judicial headquarters for violating National Law 23.737 on Narcotics.
