Buenos Aires, December 4 (NA) – The Disciplinary Jury of the province of Córdoba is meeting to consider requests for political impeachment against prosecutors Javier Di Santo, Luis Pizarro, and Daniel Miralles, who investigated the murder of Nora Dalmasso.
Mariángeles Mussolini, the lawyer for Facundo Macarrón, spoke with the Argentine News Agency and confirmed that the meeting began at 10:30, so "news is expected in the coming hours".
The meeting was supposed to take place on Tuesday but was suspended due to "scheduling issues" of the court, as "Dr. Tarditti had to be present at a criminal law event," stated the lawyer.
Di Santo is the prosecutor who ordered the arrests of painter Gastón Zárate, better known as "El Perejil", and Facundo Macarrón, while Luis Pizarro suspected that the widower traveled from Punta del Este to kill the 51-year-old businesswoman, and Miralles investigated a presumed contract killing.
The only accused is 45-year-old Roberto Bárzola, who was pointed out as the sole author of the femicide after DNA tests linked him to traces found in Valentina Macarrón's room at the Villa Golf country club in the city of Río Cuarto, where the femicide of Nora took place.
However, the Criminal, Correctional, and Accusatory Chamber of the 2nd Nomination issued a dismissal due to the statute of limitations, but Mussolini appealed that ruling before the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ).
