Eight women were assisted by the National Gendarmerie in Córdoba on suspicion of being linked to activities compatible with human trafficking for sexual exploitation. Additionally, during the raids, more than 2 million pesos were seized. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, based on data provided by the Ministry of Security, the case originated from investigative tasks carried out by the Unit for Complex Crimes and Judicial Procedures 'Córdoba', under the guidance of the intervening Federal Prosecutor's Office and the orders issued by Federal Court No. 2. During the operation, two homes were identified and raided, where the women were found in a situation of vulnerability with indicators of violence. Two firearms, cell phones, over 2,800,000 pesos, 200 dollars, documentation, and notes of interest to the case were also seized. The alleged victims were interviewed by an interdisciplinary team from the Provincial Secretary of Human Trafficking. All of them received assistance, accompaniment, and protection in accordance with the established protocols for victim protection. The cases are reportedly linked to a suspect who has been taken into custody in connection with the case.
