Néstor Aguilar Soto, accused of killing his friend Catalina Gutiérrez in Córdoba, testified in the trial by popular jury and claimed that he is not a femicide. Soto is charged with aggravated homicide for criminis causa and gender-based violence (femicide) and testified in the sixth hearing, stating that his life was perfect and now he is in prison.

During his testimony, Soto mentioned that before the tragic incident, he had an argument with Catalina in which she reprimanded him and slapped him, which led to a fight between them. Soto admitted to reacting with violence and asked for forgiveness, describing how the struggle that resulted in the young woman's death occurred.

In the trial, the conversation between Soto and Catalina was presented through messages, where they arranged a meeting at a bowling alley.
