Seven Arrested in Fatal Racing Incident in Córdoba

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Córdoba reported that prosecutor Patricia García Ramírez ordered the indictment of seven individuals in the case of the fatal race that occurred near the airport in the province, resulting in the death of a young man in a multiple collision. Among those detained are women who accompanied some of the drivers, who are charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter as necessary participants.

Among the indicted individuals are Virginia Aldana Orellana, 20 years old, and Luz Ángela Godoy, 19 years old. Additionally, a 15-year-old girl is also being accused of active participation in the incident. The prosecutor rejected the request from the parents of the deceased to intervene as private plaintiffs, arguing that the young man was also involved in the illegal activity being investigated.

The prosecutor's office ordered the detention of seven young people accused of aggravated involuntary manslaughter, aggravated culpable injuries, and illegal participation in speed testing. The detained are Fabio Gabriel Albarracín, Facundo Carlos Veizaga, Maximiliano Pérez, Enzo Pfister, Matías Albarracín, Jerónimo Maldonado, and Juan Ignacio Guerrero. The incident occurred while they were racing and ended up crashing, triggering a chain accident that resulted in the death of Facundo Fabián Donats.
