The mayor of Rosario, Pablo Javkin, has stated that they will do everything necessary for justice to impose the maximum penalty allowed by law on Agustín López Gagliasso for the tragic accident in which Tania Gandolfi and her daughter Agustina García died. During a hearing, prosecutors Mariana Prunotto and Valeria Piazza Iglesias detailed that Gagliasso was involved in a confrontation with a motorcyclist in the Arturo Illia tunnel and then lost control of his vehicle at high speed.
In the same context, Giovanna R., who was with the victims at the time of the incident, testified that everything started with a discussion with a motorcyclist and that the young driver seemed blinded. Following this tragic event, protests have emerged in various cities like Córdoba and Rosario, demanding justice for Tania and Agustina.
In the Patio Olmos of Córdoba, Agustina's schoolmates and family gathered to express their outrage at what happened. In Rosario, a march was announced at the site of the accident. Javkin has emphasized the seriousness of the incident, labeling it a crime and highlighting that there is no justification for Gagliasso's reckless driving, which claimed the lives of two people.
The mayor insisted that the images of the accident are clear and that Gagliasso acted recklessly, at a speed double the permitted limit, with no intention of stopping, which had fatal consequences for a family. The slogan 'We are fed up with impunity in our city' will resonate in the protests organized to demand justice in this case whose victims have shocked the community.
