A brutal femicide that shook the province of Córdoba at the beginning of 2026 has taken a new turn after investigators confirmed that the victim, Delfina Aimino, met her attacker, Tomás Mulinetti, through a dating app. In recent hours, prosecutor Silvia Maldonado obtained valuable information in the case of Aimino's femicide, whose body was found with over 20 stab wounds in a vacant lot behind the National University campus. According to the Argentine News Agency, the victim and the femicide met through a dating app, and on the morning of January 1, 2026, after a brief conversation, they met for the first time, but it was all a deception. It was learned that Aimino had dinner with her family and then left the home to meet with the 23-year-old Mulinetti. These details, combined with the analysis of security cameras and the fact that the suspect washed his car for hours, led to his arrest during a raid on his residence.
The autopsy confirmed that the 22-year-old young woman was the victim of a fierce attack: blows, cuts, signs of defense, and at least 20 stab wounds. Mulinetti is charged with qualified homicide due to gender-based violence and femicide, although the investigation continues and other additional proceedings may be carried out with open lines of inquiry.
