In the province of Córdoba, a 41-year-old man was arrested on charges of distributing child pornography and obstructing minors. The Prosecutor's Office for Crimes against Sexual Integrity of the 1st Turn, led by Juan Fernando Ávila Echenique, requested this measure following a series of raids.
The investigation, carried out by the Cybercrime Section of the Operational Investigation Directorate (DIO) of the Judicial Police of Córdoba, was assisted by the Immediate Response Unit of the Ministry of National Security. After various expert examinations, the suspect who distributed the illicit material through a WhatsApp group was identified.
During the raids, several electronic devices and relevant digital evidence for the case were seized. The provincial Public Prosecutor's Office emphasized the importance of these procedures to combat the distribution of pornographic images of minors and protect their integrity. In the words of Juan Fernando Ávila Echenique, "it is essential to pursue this type of crime to ensure the safety of minors and bring the perpetrators to justice."
