In a new hearing of the jury trial for the femicide of Catalina Gutiérrez in the city of Córdoba, psychological evaluations of Néstor Aguilar Soto, the accused, were presented. According to the professionals, Soto was described as "narcissistic," "obsessive," and "compulsive."
The official experts determined that Soto shows a strong predominance for female friendship relationships. The psychologists and psychiatrists who analyzed the report indicated that the accused was aggressive and his actions were motivated by the fear of being discovered. Despite the absence of violent emotion, Soto acted obsessively and sought to control situations.
The alleged murderer was described as narcissistic, with a constant search for recognition and affection, and also as impulsive when executing his actions violently. During the hearing, it was detailed that the young woman suffered a 2.5-centimeter-wide cut on her neck when she was strangled.
The doctors who conducted the autopsy revealed that Gutiérrez attempted to defend herself and fought to save her life, presenting multiple bruises from various angles caused by a blunt object. During the reading of the report, the victim's parents embraced at all times while observing the accused, who remained impassive.
It is expected that in the next hearing the last witnesses will testify and the accused, Néstor Aguilar Soto, will also appear.
