Córdoba has experienced significant flooding due to heavy rainfall, with over 140mm recorded in some areas. 56 residents have been evacuated across more than 20 neighborhoods as authorities respond to emergencies.

In the city of Córdoba, as in Bahía Blanca, heavy rainfall was recorded in a short period of time, causing chaos in the area. According to information provided by the Municipality, there were neighborhoods where significant amounts of water fell, such as Pueyrredón with 140 mm, Centro América with 120 mm, San Jerónimo with 119 mm, and Monseñor P. Cabrera with 108 mm.

The impact of the storm in the province of Córdoba resulted in flooding, evacuations, and emergency rescues, with the most affected neighborhoods being General Mosconi, Las Violetas, Primero de Mayo, Villa Boedo, Argüello, Vila Páez, Villa Hermana Sierra, Cooperativa El Paraíso, and Camino a Chacra de la Merced. A total of 56 evacuated individuals were reported from more than 20 neighborhoods.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense reported that they received 610 calls, mostly related to requests for assistance regarding trees posing a danger of falling, collapsed septic tanks, flooded streets and sidewalks, and requests for social help and evacuation.

Regarding the situation of those affected, it was emphasized that no injuries or casualties were reported, but precautions were urged due to the forecast of more rainfall in the coming hours. Meanwhile, the National Meteorological Service issued a yellow alert for rain, predicting that it could be moderate to intense and accompanied by isolated storms on Wednesday morning.

During rescue operations, the Police had to assist a man and a woman who were stranded in their vehicles due to the rising river in Costanera Sur, as well as a 14-year-old boy who was swept 100 meters by the current of a canal in the Los Gigantes neighborhood. Authorities also reported that Costanera remained closed at all access points awaiting favorable weather conditions to begin cleanup efforts.
