Femicidio of Influencer in Córdoba

Catalina Gutiérrez, an influencer, was beaten and strangled inside a home, authorities revealed. Subsequently, the aggressor took the young woman's body to his Renault Clio and headed to the Ampliación Kennedy neighborhood. There, he attempted to set the vehicle on fire to eliminate evidence, but the plan failed as the car did not catch fire completely.

Néstor Aguilar Soto, accused of Catalina Gutiérrez's death, remains admitted to the Psycho-Assistance Center in Córdoba. The victim's family lawyer, Carlos Hairabedián, reported that the accused is still under medical care and will be evaluated the following day.

The trial by jury against Soto is expected to begin shortly, once it is determined that he is fit to attend the hearings. An assessment indicated that the accused is experiencing significant emotional deterioration and lacks psychiatric treatment.

Néstor Aguilar Soto faces charges of qualified homicide due to premeditation and for involving gender violence (femicide). The crime of Catalina Gutiérrez took place on July 17, 2024, when the young woman went to pick up Soto at his home to attend a gathering with friends, but unfortunately, they never reached their destination.
