A 16-year-old teenager tragically passed away in his home in the city of Córdoba after choking on rice during dinner. The incident occurred on Monday night at a house in Villa Ávalos, located at 4600 Melchor Daza Street in the western area of the provincial capital.
The victim, who suffered from West syndrome, choked while having dinner, and it was his mother who found him unconscious in the kitchen. He was immediately taken to the Eva Perón Hospital, which was nearby, however, the doctors confirmed that the young man already had obstructed airways.
Hospital authorities reported that the teenager ultimately died due to a cardiopulmonary arrest. The boy's mother indicated that her son choked on processed rice during dinner. The family and community deeply mourn the loss of this young person at such a young age.
