A group of young people racing near Córdoba airport caused a multiple collision that resulted in the death of one person. The accident involved three cars, a truck, and two motorcycles. The incident occurred early Thursday morning on La Voz del Interior Avenue at 8500, when several vehicles collided during a race. As a result of the brutality of the accident, a 19-year-old young man lost his life.
Another five people, aged between 15 and 25, were injured in the incident and had to be taken to Urgencias and Elpidio Torres hospitals. Local media reported that the fatal victim was in the red Chevrolet Corsa and is presumed to have been the driver. Although it has not been officially confirmed, it is suspected that some of the vehicles involved in the crash initially stopped to help the injured and ended up being hit.
The lane of the avenue leading from Sierras Chicas to the city center remained closed for several hours due to the work of firefighters, police, and medical personnel who responded to the accident scene.
