
In May 1934, Córdoba was shaken by the shocking news of the murder of Ramona Moreno, known as "La Ramonita", at the age of 25 by her partner, Raimundo Telésforo Morales. This incident became the first documented femicide of the 20th century in the province, generating shock due to the brutality of the crime.
Ramona Moreno rests in the San Vicente cemetery, where her grave has become a place of worship for the residents of Güemes and San Vicente. On the 90th anniversary of her death, her story remains present, being recognized as a cult figure in those Córdoba neighborhoods.
At the Córdoba Cultural Center, there is a showcase dedicated to Ramona Moreno with images of her grave, photographs, and a replica of documents related to her story, safeguarded in the Historical Archive of the Province of Córdoba.
