A 3-year-old child was rescued by police seconds before being hit by a freight train in the city of Córdoba. The incident occurred in the Villa Los Galpones neighborhood of the capital. The minor was on the railway tracks, and a freight train, traveling from Juárez Celman to Alta Córdoba station, almost struck him, according to police sources who spoke to the Argentine News Agency. However, an officer from the Motorcycle Division spotted the child and managed to save him just before the train passed at the intersection of Mendoza and Saráchaga streets. Authorities located the boy's mother, a 24-year-old woman, who stated that her son left their home during a 'moment of carelessness'.
