Arajet Launches Direct Flights from Córdoba to Punta Cana

The Dominican Republic's flag carrier airline, Arajet, celebrated today the inaugural flight of its new direct route connecting Córdoba with Punta Cana, becoming the airline's first flight to Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella International Airport, heading to one of the most important tourist destinations in the Caribbean. The operation starts with five weekly frequencies, expanding the international connectivity of the country's interior and offering travelers from Córdoba the possibility to fly to the Caribbean directly, comfortably, and efficiently. This launch takes place in a context of strong growth in traffic between Argentina and the Dominican Republic: during the first half of 2025, the arrival of Argentine tourists to the country increased by 89.5% compared to the same period in 2024, and Argentina positioned itself as the third country of origin for tourists to the destination, with projections of reaching close to 450,000 visitors in 2025. With the start of this operation, Córdoba becomes Arajet's second destination in Argentina, a strategic step that consolidates the airline's expansion in the Southern Cone. "The choice of Córdoba responds to the growing demand from the Argentine market and the interest of travelers from the interior in having direct options to the Caribbean. The demand has been extraordinary and confirms the enormous potential of this connection," stated José Cabrera, Vice President of Communications at Arajet.
