Bus and Truck Collision in Argentina

Two people suffered injuries of varying degrees after a collision between a long-distance bus carrying 25 passengers and a truck occurred at kilometer 77 of Route 9, near the city of Campana.

According to information accessed by the Argentine News Agency (NA), the accident occurred on Monday night when the bus, which had departed from the City of Buenos Aires and was heading to the province of Salta, was hit from behind by a Mercedes Benz Blu Teck truck.

As a result of the impact, the truck driver and a 37-year-old woman who was traveling on the bus had to be transferred to the Hospital de Campana for assistance, while the bus driver and the rest of the passengers were unharmed.

Meanwhile, as a result of the incident, the middle and slow lanes of Route 9 were obstructed, so traffic was only permitted on the fast lane. Personnel from the Campana Police Station intervened at the scene, and the case was made available to the Instructional Fiscal Unit No. 2 of that city.
