Ariel Ansaldo, known as "Big Ari" for his time on "Big Brother", is going through hours of anguish after being the victim of a violent robbery at his home in Berazategui.
The incident occurred around midnight when five armed criminals broke into the residence and subdued his entire family. According to the former reality show participant, the robbers acted with total impunity and remained inside the house for over two hours.
"It seemed as if they had known the house their whole lives," he said.
Fortunately, none of the family members were injured. The intruders entered with flashlights and pistols.
"Luckily, they didn't shoot at us, beyond a few shoves," Ansaldo clarified. "I had just taken a shower and was lighting incense when I heard an explosion."
"They weren't leaving, they always wanted more. They were very organized, they checked everything, even the barbecue area and the bathroom. They didn't give us time for anything," the former "Big Brother" recalled.
Hours after the attack, Ansaldo used his social media to bring reassurance and clarify that he and his parents were out of danger: "We are well, though very shocked," he wrote, and warned that he does not have access to his personal cell phone, so he asked to disregard any message or call received in his name.
The Buenos Aires Police took fingerprints at the scene and continues the investigation, although there are still no detainees linked to the event.
"It was a moment of great tension, I didn't know how it was going to end," he recounted emotionally in an interview with "El Noticiero de la Gente."
"Big Ari" detailed that the criminals entered through the garage and went straight to his room: "They broke even a piano looking for money. They had put restraints on our feet and hands and started breaking everything."
