A 30-year-old man with an extensive criminal record was arrested in the city of Apóstoles, Misiones province, for attacking his neighbor with a machete. According to police sources, the incident occurred on December 6th, when a 39-year-old man reported being suddenly attacked by an unknown person while drinking. Due to the injuries, the victim was first taken to a local hospital and then transferred to Madariaga Hospital, where a skull fracture and a traumatic brain injury, as well as multiple cuts and abrasions, were confirmed. Through investigations by the Division of Investigations, police determined that the attacker was a 30-year-old man known in criminal circles with a prior record, who had been with the victim before the attack. On Thursday, police arrested the suspect in a public place and he was taken into police custody.
