A freight train derailed on Tuesday in the city of Apóstoles in Misiones province for reasons under investigation, but no injuries were reported. The train was transporting cement and suffered a malfunction in the railway area near the Estación neighborhood. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the incident occurred around 5:30 PM, prompting an immediate response from the provincial force. Officers from the Second Precinct of UR-VII established a security perimeter and guarded the area until the arrival of personnel from the company responsible for the rolling stock to ensure the safety of the cargo and the affected site. A similar incident occurred on Tuesday at the Liniers station in the Federal Capital, where a Sarmiento railway train derailed, leaving at least 20 people injured.
