Aldosivi Crowned Champion of Primera Nacional

The Primera Nacional football tournament in Argentina has concluded with Aldosivi being crowned champion, thus securing their promotion to the Liga Profesional de Fútbol. Aldosivi won 2-0 against San Martín de Tucumán in a standout performance.

On the other hand, the fight for the second promotion to the top category continues in the semifinals of the reduced tournament. The teams still in the running for this spot are San Martín de Tucumán, San Martín de San Juan, Nueva Chicago, and Gimnasia de Mendoza.

In the quarterfinals of the reduced tournament, the matchups were defined as follows: San Telmo vs San Martín de Tucumán, All Boys vs San Martín de San Juan, Gimnasia de Mendoza vs Deportivo Madryn, and Quilmes vs Nueva Chicago. The results left the teams San Martín de Tucumán, San Martín de San Juan, Gimnasia de Mendoza, and Nueva Chicago as semifinalists.

The format of the Reduced Tournament of the Primera Nacional includes the top seven teams from each zone, excluding the leaders. The round of 16 pairs the teams in single matches, with the better-placed teams being the hosts and having sports advantage. In the quarterfinals, the seven winners are joined by the loser of the final. Subsequently, a general table is created to establish new matchups, and the matches become two-legged.

The semifinals of the Reduced Tournament will see Gimnasia de Mendoza face San Martín de Tucumán and Nueva Chicago take on San Martín de San Juan. Finally, the final of the Reduced Tournament will be held at a neutral venue and without sports advantage, being a decisive match to determine which team will obtain the second promotion to the Liga Profesional de Fútbol.
