The national women's field hockey team, known as "Las Leonas", has embarked on a journey to Australia to compete in a new window of the FIH Pro League. The Argentine delegation will be based in the city of Hobart, where they will face a total of four matches between Tuesday, February 10, and Saturday, February 14, according to the Argentine News Agency (NA). Led by coach Fernando Ferrara, the team will aim to continue on a positive path after the first window held in Santiago del Estero last December. There, Las Leonas secured three wins against Germany—one decided by shoot-outs—and one loss against the Netherlands, results that kept them well-positioned in the overall standings of the competition.

The players called up for this tour are Agostina Alonso, Mercedes Artola, Brisa Bruggesser, Sofía Cairo, Lara Casas, Juana Castellaro, Cristina Cosentino, Zoe Díaz de Armas, Victoria Falasco, Milagros Alastra, Agostina Gorzelany, María José Granatto, Victoria Granatto, Julieta Jankunas, Victoria Miranda, Paula Ortiz, Valentina Raposo, Victoria Sauze, Sofía Toccalino, and Eugenia Trinchinetti.

The Las Leonas schedule in Australia will begin on Tuesday, February 10, against Ireland at 5:30 AM (Argentine time). On Wednesday, February 11, they will face Australia at the same time. The activity will continue on Friday, February 13, with a new match against Ireland (5:30 AM) and will conclude on Saturday, February 14, against the host team starting at 3:30 AM.
