The Defensa y Justicia team achieved a resounding victory by defeating Tigre 4-0 as visitors. The match corresponded to the twenty-second matchday of the Liga Profesional de Fútbol (LPF). The goals for the "Halcón" were scored by Juan Miritello, Benjamín Schamine, Rodrigo Bogarín, and Matías Ramírez, all in the second half of the match at the José Dellagiovanna stadium.
With this result, the Varela team reached the eleventh position in the annual LPF table, accumulating 51 points. They are only two units away from the last position that qualifies for the Copa Sudamericana, currently occupied by Independiente.
In the next round of the league, Defensa y Justicia will face Deportivo Riestra next Monday. Meanwhile, Tigre remains at the bottom of the table, located in the penultimate position, one point away from the last qualified.
