Argentine driver Franco Colapinto will participate in the Brazilian Grand Prix of Formula 1, where he will be welcomed by thousands of Argentines and feel at home. After finishing twelfth in Mexico, he is preparing for a busy weekend on the track.
Colapinto will have a busy Friday with free practice at 11:30 and the qualifying for the Sprint race at 15:30. This will be his second Sprint, following his debut in the United States where he finished twelfth. Two teams, Sauber and Red Bull, catch attention in the competition. Sauber will become Audi in 2026 and is seen as a potential competitive rival, while Red Bull is the team of Max Verstappen, the current three-time champion.
After the Brazilian Grand Prix, Colapinto will enjoy three weeks off before the final races of the season in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi. These final races are shorter, only 100 kilometers, with the peculiarity that drivers are not required to make pit stops.
On Saturday, the Sprint race will take place at 11, followed by qualifying for the main race at 15. In this qualifying session, Colapinto will aim to improve his previous performance in the United States and Mexico, where he failed to advance from Q1 and had to start from the last positions on the grid on both occasions.
On Sunday, the action for Colapinto will conclude with the main race at 14 at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace circuit, known as Interlagos, one of the most traditional in the Formula 1 calendar. So far, Colapinto has shown consistency in his performance in the top category of motorsport, maintaining twelfth place in each race and scoring five points, highlighting an eighth place in Azerbaijan and a tenth in the United States. His remarkable performance has sparked the interest of several teams to have him in the 2025 season.
