Racing's coach, Gustavo Costas, praised the commitment of his players after the 4-0 victory over Belgrano in the second round of the 2025 Apertura Tournament. Costas highlighted that the players maintain the same intensity and determination as in the previous season.

Regarding a particular player, Costas mentioned that he arrived in poor physical condition to the team, but praised his dedication in continuing to work hard during preseason to catch up with the rest of the squad. Other players he highlighted were midfielders Juan Nardoni and Santiago Sosa, whom he described as fully committed in every match.

The coach stated that Racing doesn't settle and has its sights set on the Recopa Sudamericana. Additionally, he left open the possibility of future signings while the transfer market remains open. Costas also praised the substitutes who come into matches, highlighting their effort and contribution to the team.

Costas emphasized that his players know each other so well that they "play by memory" after having shared the entire previous season together. He pointed out that some players joined the team shortly before the start of the last season, while others came in with injuries.

The return of 31-year-old forward Luciano Vietto to Racing was also highlighted by Costas. Vietto returned to the club after a decade in European and Arab football. As a confessed fan of the team, Costas claimed that Racing is the best team and where he was developed as a professional footballer.

The 61-year-old coach underscored that the strength of the team lies in its players, highlighting their commitment and ambition both in training and in matches.
