Argentina's vote against a United Nations Assembly resolution on the protection of the rights of Indigenous Peoples has generated criticism from various political sectors in the country. Representatives from PRO, radicalism, and Unión por la Patria expressed their disagreement with this decision, highlighting that Argentina has positioned itself in isolation on the international stage, being the only nation to do so.

"This could have profound negative consequences in the medium and long term for Argentina," warned a Mendoza deputy, referring to the implications of this vote on a national and international level. National deputy from UCR, Natalia Sarapura, submitted a project in the same vein, expressing concern and repudiation for the stance taken by the National Government.

PRO, in an attempt to maintain some cordiality in its criticisms, pointed out that Argentina voted against the rest of the international community, emphasizing the importance of a balanced foreign policy that favors national interests without falling into dependencies or unnecessary conflicts. For its part, the Unión Cívica Radical requested the National Executive to explain the reasons behind this decision, considered contrary to fundamental human rights.

Various legislators from different parties have expressed their discontent with the vote cast by Argentina, characterizing it as a step in the opposite direction to the defense of human rights. Strong criticisms have emerged, accusing the Government of neglecting the issues of Indigenous peoples and acting against humanitarian values. The controversy has highlighted ideological divergences and opposing stances regarding the country's foreign policy.
