The Government of the Republic of Argentina is honored to announce that Mr. Alejandro Carlos Francisco Oxenford will be appointed as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the United States of America, according to the Foreign Ministry.
"His experience and commitment will strengthen bilateral relations and promote fruitful cooperation between both nations," added a message disseminated by Oxenford himself on a social network.
The newly appointed ambassador expressed his gratitude to President Javier Milei "for the trust" and stated that he is "excited" about his appointment. "Excited about this appointment as Ambassador in the United States," Oxenford said on the same social network.
"I am convinced that with dedication and focus, we will achieve a significant impact, positioning Argentina better and better in the USA and the world. It is an honor to have the guidance of Werthein, the Government team, the inspiration of Milei, and the ideas of freedom as our North," the ambassador added.
The appointment of Oxenford as the new ambassador to the United States, replacing Gerardo Werthein, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, has been confirmed by the Argentine Government.
"Thank you so much for the trust, President Milei! Public service is not only an honor, it is also a responsibility," concluded the ambassador's message. "Let's go!"
