Advances in Dam Projects in Santa Cruz

The Government of Santa Cruz, led by Governor Claudio Vidal, has committed to ensuring the safety and maintenance of the roads in the area of the Santa Cruz River dams. During a meeting with UTE authorities, action lines were established to strengthen the road infrastructure in the region.

In this sense, the importance of working together with the Provincial Police and Provincial Roads was highlighted to fulfill the commitments made, especially after the agreements reached during the mission in China. The goal is to begin maintenance work on Route 9 in mid-December, following the schedule established by the province.

Additionally, efforts have been made before the National Government and other international actors to include the dams in the 2025 Budget, which represents a key step for the reactivation of this fundamental project for the region. Governor Vidal emphasized the importance of advancing in the planning of safety and road logistics in collaboration with UTE and the company responsible for the work.

In Vidal's words: "Everything we have managed seeks to ensure that the dams become a reality, fulfilling every commitment made." It is expected that once the pending agreements are defined by the National Government, progress can be made swiftly in the construction of these dams, which represent a significant advance for the development of the region.
