The General Confederation of Labor (CGT) recently criticized Javier Milei for his statements about Cristina Kirchner. In a statement, the CGT lamented the use of verbal violence by the President and indicated that his political intolerance harms democratic coexistence. The labor central condemned the President's attitude for crossing limits in democratic confrontation and encouraging the death of the former President.
Amid tensions within Peronism over Cristina Kirchner's intention to lead the PJ, the CGT, with a greater presence of "dialogue-oriented" sectors, maintains its distance from the former president, aligning more closely with the list proposed by the governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela.
Despite this, the CGT expressed its rejection of Milei's comments about Cristina Kirchner, condemning his intention to end Kirchnerism with the former president still involved. The central called for not normalizing violence in political discourse and warned about the consequences of denigrating those who do not share particular political views.
Describing Milei's words as an anti-democratic act, the CGT urged calm and responsibility from the President to address social inequality. Additionally, they expressed their unconditional solidarity with Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, emphasizing that death should not be part of political disputes.
