Leader “El Cuervo” arrested for attempted murder

The leader of the Tristán Suárez football club's barra brava, known as “El Cuervo”, was arrested by the Federal Police accused of attempting to murder a member of a rival faction in September 2025. The investigation determined that he has an extensive criminal record linked to various crimes. The incident attributed to him occurred at the end of September last year at the intersection of Avenida Argentina and Canale, in the Buenos Aires locality of Tristán Suarez, when the victim, who was returning from work, was intercepted by a vehicle with four occupants who got out and began to attack him. After the attack, the victim was taken to the hospital where he survived, and after making a statement, he filed a complaint in which he identified two of his attackers, one of them being the leader of the club, according to the Argentine News Agency. The case was handled by the Decentralized Functional Unit of Instruction and Trial No. 2 of Ezeiza, led by Carlos Alberto Hassan, who ordered the investigation to the Buenos Aires Police, but due to lack of results, it was delegated in January 2026 to the Homicide Division of the PFA. Accordingly, federal agents began fieldwork, and using various databases, it was established that “El Cuervo” had an extensive criminal record for connections to various crimes such as the murder of another well-known fan of the same club, culpable homicide, threats, and injuries, among others. “Based on the investigations obtained by the police, a lead emerged that the suspect would frequent the home of a woman, who would be his current partner, located in the locality of Tristán Suarez,” highlights the police report. In response, the federal agents set up a discreet surveillance operation in the area, managing to identify and arrest the fugitive at the intersection of Salvador de Maio and Erratchu streets. The detainee, a 44-year-old Argentine, was made available to the Guarantees Court No. 7 of Ezeiza, led by Horacio Héctor Hryb, for the crime of attempted murder.
