Judge Daniel Rafecas of Argentina has initiated an oral trial against former national deputy and current legislator of the Workers Party – Left Front, Vanina Biasi, after she spoke in defense of the Palestinian people. Biasi accused Israel of genocide and voiced support for Palestine, attracting the attention of judges and prosecutors who seek arguments to limit her freedom of expression. Judge Rafecas assigned Judge Martínez de Giorgi, who previously handled the "Libra" case, to oversee the proceedings in Comodoro Py. Biasi described the move as a "noisy throw" at her freedom and an attempt to silence public discourse. She plans to launch a campaign supporting Palestinians, believing it will win public sentiment even if the court rules otherwise.
