Buenos Aires, December 24 (NA) – A man has been detained for murdering his partner by running her over with a truck following a public argument. The incident occurred in the La Matanza district, Buenos Aires Province. According to the Argentine News Agency and police sources, the attack took place near the Central Market when the couple had a fight in the street with clear signs of violence. The altercation lasted at least three minutes before he intentionally hit her with a vehicle with Bolivian license plates. The victim, María Luzmar Caiti Rivero, 36, died at the scene as a result of the severe injuries, as confirmed by police personnel who found Rivero lying on the ground and called the SAME emergency service. Although the scene was preserved for the Police Scientific work, officers indicated that the aggressor smelled of alcohol, while the vehicle, which was transporting merchandise, was seized for an expert assessment. The sequence of the femicide was recorded by area security cameras, whose images allowed the event to be reconstructed and were decisive in the suspect's arrest, who was apprehended a few hours later.
