Buenos Aires, November 30 (NA) – The province of Jujuy confirmed this Sunday the death of Dr. Ekel Meyer, current president of the provincial Supreme Court of Justice. According to Argentine News Agency, Meyer, who had been ratified in his position for the 2024-2025 term, had a prominent and extensive career in the public and institutional life of Jujuy. His career in the Judicial Branch was ascending. Before assuming the presidency of the Court at the beginning of 2024, Meyer served as a member of the Superior Tribunal de Justice, a position to which he had entered in December 2020. Meyer's public career was not limited to the judicial sphere. Previously, he held important functions in the Executive Branch: he was Minister of Security of the Province of Jujuy between the years 2015 and 2020. In addition, Meyer had legislative and municipal experience, as he held a seat as a provincial deputy in the Legislature of Jujuy, and was a councilor for the city of San Salvador de Jujuy during the 2000s.
