In Buenos Aires, a major drug trafficking operation led to the dismantling of a criminal organization linked to the 'Mameluco' Villalba clan. The operation, conducted by Argentina's Federal Police (PFA) Federal Investigations Department (DFI), resulted in the arrest of eight individuals. Following seven raids and three street procedures, authorities seized 7.5 kg of high-purity cocaine, nearly 10 kg of marijuana, and 95 doses of Tusi. Additionally, more than 14 million Argentine pesos in small bills, three bulletproof vests, two tactical police vests, three cars, two motorcycles, two heat-sealing machines, seven bill counters, precision scales, a computer, 22 cell phones, and relevant case documents were confiscated. Agents were surprised to find a hidden arsenal inside a drain grate: five 9mm pistols, three .38 Special and .44 Magnum revolvers with filed-off serial numbers, magazines, and a large quantity of ammunition of various calibers. Finally, two bank safety deposit boxes were opened, from which $490,000 in US dollars were seized. All detainees, Argentine and of legal age, are at the disposal of the intervening magistrate for violating the National Law on Drugs (23,737).
