The National Government has accepted the resignation of José Luis Vila from the position of Secretary of Strategic Affairs of the Chief of Ministers' Cabinet. This position became vacant on November 1st following the departure of then-coordinator Minister Guillermo Francos. Finally, President Javier Milei accepted his resignation. The news became official following the publication on Tuesday of Decree 791/2025 in the Official Gazette, signed by the head of state and the current Chief of Cabinet. The brief article of the decree states: “The resignation presented by Mr. José Luis Vila from the position of Secretary of Strategic Affairs of the Chief of Ministers' Cabinet is accepted, effective November 1, 2025.” The document also thanks the outgoing official for the services rendered during his tenure. Vila's departure is not a coincidence and will not be the only one. According to information from the Noticias Argentinas agency, the coordinating minister has decided to replace officials who were politically accountable to his predecessor, Guillermo Francos. Although details are not yet known, the removal of the Undersecretary of Parliamentary and Institutional Relations, Oscar Moscariello, seems to be a foregone conclusion. Another name in question is that of the Deputy Chief of Staff, José “Cochi” Rolandi, who remains in his post. Rolandi joined the Cabinet under Nicolás Posse, with whom he maintains a friendship. This latter fact displeases the president, but his technical profile gives him an advantage in the restructuring. Furthermore, also on Tuesday morning, the Executive Branch officially formalized the transfer of the Secretariat of Tourism, Environment, and Sports, led by Daniel Scioli, to the Chief of Ministers' Cabinet.
