National Senator Luis Juez sparked a new controversy by comparing former President Mauricio Macri to Elisa Carrió amidst internal tensions within the PRO and the relationship with Javier Milei's Government. The phrase "Don't mess around, brother" generated discomfort within the Macri space and received a swift response from former national deputy Soher El Sukaria, who sarcastically remarked on social media: "And who do you think you are, Luis?"
"I have a good relationship with Macri, but I didn't like this attitude. Is Borocotó with an accent? Maybe!" said Juez during an interview on the FORUM program broadcasted by Carlos Paz television. This comment was interpreted as a slight against the confrontational and provocative behavior that characterizes him, with Juez being a regular player in verbal clashes in the political arena.
The tension between Juez and sectors of the PRO once again exposes the fracture within the opposition, where some factions keep their distance from the Government, while others, like Juez, express clear support for Milei's administration. Despite this, for now, Mauricio Macri has not publicly commented on Juez's statements, although the controversy has already generated strong repercussions on social media and fuels a new chapter in the opposition's internal struggles.
During the interview, Juez recalled, according to Noticias Argentinas, that while he was serving as ambassador in Ecuador, Macri complained about the attacks he received from Carrió and sectors of radicalism. "He should fly over the issues, knowing that the president lacks a lot of things. But he's focused on the small stuff," Juez pointed out, adding: "You were president, you have a roadmap."
